Tequila

Alberto Callejo was born in the picturesque region of Ribera del Duero, cradle of a long-standing winemaking tradition that has shaped his family for generations.

In 2015, he moved to Mexico and founded the boutique advertising agency Brindis Work, which quickly became a local reference in branding and marketing, collaborating with several tequila producers.

While building strong ties with tequila-making families in the Jalisco Highlands, Alberto fell in love with Blue Agave and its production processes. Encouraged by master distillers and friends from Amatitán, he launched his own brand, Derechito, in 2018.

One year later, in 2019, the brand expanded into Europe, and by 2020, it entered the United States market.

As new markets opened, the product portfolio also grew, exploring different distillation methods and aging techniques.

Later on, Alberto decided to pay tribute to his two homelands by creating a truly Mexican tequila with a very Spanish siesta: Derechito Rosé, the first tequila aged in Ribera del Duero wine barrels.

This unique collection comes in two editions:

MEZCAL

After discovering the world of tequila with Derechito Tequila, our love for the universe of maguey kept growing:

We spent all of 2020 and 2021 traveling through the mezcal-producing states of Mexico, exploring and learning about different types of maguey, traditional techniques, and meeting incredible people—with two main goals:

On one hand, going back to the roots: to develop agave spirits using Mexico’s traditional ancestral techniques.

On the other hand, leaving a mark: To create a product that is inclusive, sustainable, and fair to all the communities involved.

To help these families sell and internationalize their products.
